Erstwhile state of J&K was bifurcated in a historic decision of August 5, 2019 but i consider bifurcation as a half job done. Ladakh was asking for a Ut states and they got their demand fulfilled after decades of struggle. Jammu Province which constitutes 62% of the newly formed JK UT is unfairly treated by a handful of kashmir based leaders who have done everything possible since 1947 to treat the Dogra belt unfairly. Kashmir province which constitutes only 38% of the JK UT is playing the victim card and the fake propaganda and lies are spread by the blue eyed politicians of kashmir who have successfully kept the gullible people of kashmir in Dark.
History of demand for Jammu State
Trifurcation of the erstwhile state of J&K and and the formation of a separate state of Jammu is the most desirable solution to this unending chaos. To be precise Jammu and Kashmir can’t be clubbed together into one administrative unit because of various reasons. The very basis of the formation of states and UT’s within the Indian union was the language, culture, traditions and lifestyle of people. Most of the communities in Jammu region share a common lifestyle and culture and it has a pluralistic population. Most of the people of Jammu province follow Dogra culture and traditions. Dogri language and the sister languages are spoken in most of the region. Gujjar/Bakarwal and pahadi community relate to Dogra culture and traditions. There are people in Pakistan occupied Jammu Kashmir who predominantly share Dogra heritage , music and traditions.
In 1960’s also there was a demand for a separate state of Jammu but it was suppressed or ignored because of a Kashmir problem which was blown out of proportion. Kashmir is a very small part of the princely state of J&K and if you look at the percentage of kashmiri speaking people living in muzaffarabad it was only 15%. 80-90% of the POJK is actually Jammu. In 1947 also ceasefire was unilaterally declared by Nehru on the behest of Sheikh Abdullah because Sheikh Abdullah wanted to disempower Jammu and strip jammu of its Political dominance. Giving lesser seats to Jammu province despite having a larger area is another conspiracy to keep Jammu enslaved. In 2003 Jammu State Morcha was formed and again the demand for a separate statehood was raised intensified and it faded away. in 2012-13 panthers Party launched a campaign to create consensus on a separate state. The demand for a separate state of Jammu Pradesh is raised by the civil society and most of the regional parties support it.
Trifurcation is the ultimate solution of region.
Trifurcation is the ultimate solution to this tussle between the regions. If you look at Kashmir there are hardly 2-3 districts where there is militancy. Most of the Kashmir wants peace and prosperity and they we can see from the recent killing of Journalists, Political workers, Police personnel , Local Army recruits and other civilians who speak for India. Kashmir wants to embrace Indian flag but few handful of separatists and politicians do not want peace in the region. The separatists are numbered and if we give a change for bothe Jammu and Kashmir to grow separately in a healthy competitive environment. If Jammu Pradesh is given a chance to grow it will save the greater kashmir narrative and attempts to malign the young minds in hilly areas of Jammu.
Unfair treatment to Jammu province
Jammu province is treated unfairly and is the major reason of descent in the people of Jammu. There is discrimination and unfair share of Jammu in government jobs, projects, tourism development, infrastructure development and other issues. There is complete apathy and it is clearly evident in every aspect. Jammu province is tired of fighting for it rights and demands a fair treatment in the hands of GOI to give people of Jammu a fair change to grow with its full potential. Jammu province has lot of potential be it the talented youth, tourist destinations, natural resources etc.
Statehood for JK UT is a Big No
Statehood for the Ut of J&K is a big no because GOI should not take a step backward to empower the same kashmir based blue eyed men who had taken the whole state for a ride in the past. We need to learn from the past and should refrain from making the same mistake which GOI did by trusting Kashmir based politicians. We want a LG monitored JK UT where GOI has a control over every change in the state and the damage control can de done at any point of time. Having said that separate statehood of Jammu Pradesh is very important to zero down the problematic area and let rest of the region grow and give a chance to Kashmir to strive for peace and grow with rest of India by working hard rather than being dependent on packages from Delhi or revenue generated from Jammu Province.
Jammu Pradesh is the Ultimate Solution
I consider bifurcation a step in right direction but it is incomplete without a separate Jammu Pradesh. Jammu Pradesh beats in the hearts of every Jammuite and must be considered at its earliest. Bifurcation has brought down the morale of separatists but Trifurcation will completely break the backbone of external forces who want to keep the pot boiling for their vested interests. People of Jammu have already struggled under a srinagar based biased government at the helm of affairs and the turmoil has reached the tip of the iceberg. GOI must consider the genuine demand of a separate statehood of Jammu province and do the needful.
Very well explained. Trifurcation is the only solution. Jammu needs to be separated from JK UT. Jammu Province has its different identity, culture, language, geography and demography. Now it’s time to declare jammu province a separate state to end the regional disparity.
Jan Adesh Jammu Pardesh
Brother jammu province especially has got zero resources to make it a Powerful state
I’m not against your demand but it’s not gonna happen at all & if does then jammu will be the biggest loser
Right now the world wants renewable & energy as it’s the biggest thing in demand & also for future
& If Jammu wants to get separate then the biggest district Kishtwar 7737kmsq in area won’t want to be with jammu at all
Because jammu is way too far & after construction of vailoo- Singpora tunnel in Kishtwar the distance between Anantnag to kishtwar will be 65km only merely a 1 hour journey & kishtwar has 65% muslim population & out of which 60% are ethnic kashmiri & speak the Kashmiri language as well the biggest tehsil of kishtwar Warwan is connected from Kashmir not from jammu & get all supplies from Anantnag
& Kashmiri muslim came to kishtwar when raja suha dev migrated to kishtwar after invasion of hanglu khan in 12th century
& Kishtwar has hydro power capacity of 12000MW highest in a district in world & also has sapphire mines & many other minerals in massive mountains
So there’s no way kashmir will let kishtwar go away & safe for the people of kishtwar they’ll never accept jammu as their own even Hindus may accept but their number ain’t gonna make difference
Around 50% of district Kishtwar’s hindu population is settled in jammu & no way they gonna come so by 2030 you’ll see kishtwar with only 20% Hindu population but muslims don’t migrate permanently like hindus
& Same goes for Bhaderwah , Ramban also
Poonch with 90% muslim population also won’t want to be jammu at all but they’ll also not be considered in kashmir also because they don’t speak kashmiri & are not kashmiris
So, if you really want jammu as a seprate state then you should consider jammu , samba, Kathua , & partially reasi & udhampur
& If any tom dick harry doesn’t says otherwise I’ll suggest you to travel to the each & every tehsil & observe the people & other aspects
Atlast after crossing nasheri tunnel dogra culture ain’t visible at all
& If jammu becomes a different state
Me & many others like me will try to create a moment to make a different UT named greater Himalayas consisting of KISHTWAR, BHADERWAH & SOME PARTS OF DODA & also PANGI , CHURAH & TEESA tehsils of chamba district
& Lastly one more thing clubhouse should be used to discuss different aspects with everyone not with same people regularly if really want to have an impact
Good bye ЁЯСЛ
